Gyakuten Saiban ( Ace Attorney) Live Action Movie Trailer

Response to GeekChicDaily's Tokyopop newsletter

Anyone else excited about this?  I heard about this from Tokyopop's newsletter which explained:
You won't object to this – everyone's favorite spiky-haired lawyer, Phoenix Wright, is coming to the big screen. Watch all the dramatic courtroom showdowns with this new live action movie. It's definitely time to testify.

That's right!! I Can't wait.  It's out in Japan 2-11-2012.  If only I could go see Gyakuten Saiban ( Ace Attorney) Live Action Movie :-/

Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes 2:  A Game of Shadows comes out this Friday December 16.  It's not a movie I would go nuts over, but it seems epic enough for my friends to go crazy over.

As I clicked refresh for my twitter account, I found something very interesting.

Apparently there is (going to be?) a manga version of Sherlock Holmes.  I have to say, this is definitely intriguing.  The manga was created by Toya Ataka.  I don't know very much about this manga because it's hard to find info on it.  I heard about it from Deb Aoki's article "JManga Offers Free 'Sherlock Holmes' Manga to New Subscribers".  JManga gives a taste of the manga by previewing it.

Why haven't I heard about this before????

...not sure actually.

The preview is only the first couple of pages of the manga, so I can't say much.  I do have to admit, the art and drawing style is absolutely fantastic.  I'm not sure if this manga will be a major disappointment or major joygasm for Sherlock Holmes' fans, but it's definitely something different.

Response: Social Networks Pt. 1

Welcome To the Social Network... I Mean Social Networks Pt.1

Well @Chris_sez  bring up a good point in this entry. Social networks are on the rise today. I believe that they are only on the rise (especially facebook) because of their user interface. Facebook is convenient, and easy to use. I believe that myspace went down the drain because it wasn't as personal, and everything wasn't the same or neutral. Joining a network on myspace(school, company, college, etc.) was an option. I believe on facebook it's mandatory to join a network when you first join. Not only that, for some networks, you have to go through some verification process in order to make it show up on your profile. Even companies are using facebook in order to connect with their employees. Not only that but stores are on facebook in order to promote sales. Twitter is easy to update and facebook helps people connect with others at a faster rate. Myspace tumbled down the totem pole because in order for things to look 'pleasing', people had to put out effort in order for their profiles to look nice and effort is one thing people are afraid of today for some reason. People have to cater to the 'laziness' today because people will pay top dollar for it
